Yaruki is a motivational quote app designed to work privately, without an account, advertising, analytics SDKs, or subscriptions.
This Privacy Policy explains what Yaruki does and does not collect.
Information We Do Not Collect
Yaruki does not collect, sell, or share personal information.
Yaruki does not require an account.
Yaruki does not use advertising SDKs.
Yaruki does not use analytics SDKs.
Yaruki does not track you across apps or websites.
Yaruki does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, browsing history, device identifiers, or usage analytics.
Yaruki does not send your quotes, favorites, themes, imported backgrounds, reminders, or app activity to our servers.
Local App Data
Yaruki stores some information locally on your device so the app can work properly.
This may include:
- Quotes shown in your feed
- Favorite quotes
- Theme and appearance settings
- Custom background photos or videos you choose to import
- Local reminder preferences
- Small quote snapshots shared with the Yaruki widget
This information stays on your device or in the app's local shared container for the widget. We do not receive it.
Photos and Videos
Yaruki lets you optionally choose photos or videos from your photo library to use as custom backgrounds.
The app only accesses media you choose through Apple's photo picker.
Yaruki may also let you save a quote image to your photo library when you choose to do so.
Yaruki does not upload your photos or videos to any server.
Notifications
Yaruki can send optional local quote reminders if you enable them.
These reminders are scheduled on your device using Apple's notification system.
Yaruki does not use a server to send notifications.
Speech
Yaruki includes an optional read-aloud feature for quotes.
Speech playback happens on your device using Apple's system text-to-speech features.
AI Quote Generation
Yaruki may generate motivational quotes using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework when available.
AI quote generation happens on your device.
Yaruki does not send prompts, quotes, or personal information to an external AI provider.
If on-device generation is unavailable, Yaruki uses bundled quote content included with the app.
Widgets
The Yaruki widget displays quotes using a small local quote snapshot saved by the app.
This widget data is stored locally using the app group shared between Yaruki and its widget extension.
We do not receive widget data.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Yaruki does not currently offer subscriptions, in-app purchases, paid accounts, or external payment links.
Children's Privacy
Yaruki is not directed to children under 13.
Because Yaruki does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-Party Services
Yaruki does not use third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or external AI services.
The privacy policy page itself may be hosted by a third-party privacy policy provider or website host. Visiting that webpage may be subject to that provider's own privacy practices.
Data Deletion
Because Yaruki stores app data locally on your device, you can delete this data by deleting the app from your device.
You can also remove saved favorites or custom backgrounds inside the app where those controls are provided.
